13 July 2020 - Update from our Managing Director

I am delighted to advise that following a decision to temporarily close the business in April to re-evaluate all of the Company processes, we are now back to a fully operational workforce.

Throughout May and June, we implemented a phased return to the workplace for the management team and operational workforce. On their return to work, an induction to the new way of working was delivered including a familiarisation of the depot facility, which had been amended to suit the social distancing guidelines provided by central government and the Construction Leadership Council.

We are currently implementing a new comprehensive communication tool within the office environment, which will allow the management team to operate from home whilst maintaining 100% access to all operating systems. In 2018, we secured the award for “Innovation of the Year” for our mobile app at the Road Safety Marking Association Industry Awards, this was designed and developed to our specification by ReFlow. As such, it was only a matter of time before the rest of the business activities followed suit and over the next few weeks, our operating systems are being fully updated to ensure a seamless transition to a new way of working.

June 15th saw the five-year anniversary of obtaining our BBA HAPAS Type 1 certification for our QMS HyperGripTM High Friction Surface Treatment. We have since installed in excess of 250,000m2, improving the safety of many highway routes for the road users throughout the United Kingdom.

Our Award Winning QMS HyperLineTM has been being installed around the country, ensuring networks not only meet the new retro-reflectivity requirements of CS 126 on application, but continue to exceed the minimum requirements throughout the functional life of the system. The latest upgrades to the installation equipment include a laser guidance system, automatic line detection and side impact bars adjacent to the spray guns. All of this with a system that contains ZERO solvents, ZERO plastics, ZERO heat requirement, 80% reduction in CO2 (compared to sprayed thermoplastic) and is capable of delivering 30km of markings per shift utilising mobile 12C Traffic Management.

Our internal line marking teams have also been busy completing various new-build warehouses, reconfiguration projects and routine maintenance programmes with durable markings installed using ultra-violet technology, providing up to FIVE YEAR guarantee on performance utilising our QMS RapidShield line marking solution.

The onset of Coronavirus and Covid-19 has been devastating around the world and we applaud government for their support to business to enable a planned and strategic re-growth of industry.

I personally thank all of our staff, customers and suppliers for their fantastic support over the past few months. All of the team remain firmly committed to delivering exceptional work to our amazing portfolio of clients and we look forward to continuing to do so for many months and years to come.

Many thanks

Greg Clark MCIHT
Managing Director
