29 June 2020 - Update on Coronavirus from our Managing Director

As the virulence of COVID-19 appears to be waning and, as long as everyone adheres to the social distancing guidelines set out by health experts and government, we will hopefully avoid an extended or increased nationwide lockdown.

I took the decision to temporarily suspend the activities of the business throughout April and placed staff under the furlough scheme implemented by government to asisst businesses during the pandemic. Our Finance Manager and I continued to work during this time ensuring that payments to suppliers were not interrupted and fully reviewed our business processes to enable our staff to return to an updated business profile.

Risk and Method Statements were revised to incorporate best practice and advice on working safely fully in accordance with the Construction Leadership Council guidelines. Our premises were marked with social distancing reminders and additional wash facilities installed. This meant that we could bring the operational team back in a phased manner, starting with in-house training on safe working practices and everyone has committed to maintain best practice for the health of all those they come into contact with. We even produced a short, in-house film demonstrating the importance of pre-start vehicle sanitising!

I take this opportunity to reassure our clients that we are now operating with a full team and we look forward to delivering schemes and projects in accordance with our core values of Commitment, Motivation, Determination, Achievement and Success.

Our hearts and thoughts go out to anyone who has lost family members and friends throughout this crisis.

Please stay safe and we very much look forward to working with you in the very near future.

Many thanks

Greg Clark MCIHT
Managing Director
